Welcome to Reclaimed History, a service offered by artist Charlie Tippell, where the magic of art breathes new life into your cherished memories.

Working with both venues and families, Reclaimed History explores the stories that matter to you and through the timeless medium of oil painting, an entirely bespoke piece will be created. 

Our four step process from creating concepts with you the customer, from there sketches are created exploring different characters, perspectives and scenes that could be created from the stories you have selected. From there we work to form a scene to photograph (onsite if location is specific) and finally the oil painting process will be begin. 

Props can be both built and purchased, a character authentically outfitted, all from the final piece to look as perfect as possible, and your story to come to life.

"The Waiting Room"

For The Dial House in Bourton on the Water

Exploring the Hotel's past as a GP practice during the 1940's, our protagonist is a US serviceman. Based in Pittville, Cheltenham as many were, the soldier meets one of the nurses from Bourton.Following his deployment, and the subsequent months in war ravaged Europe, our soldier finally returns, not quite ready to return to his homeland, he heads to Bourton, with two tickets to New York and waits for his love.
